Cap & Gown pictures will be taken at school on March 4. Girls will need to bring a white top and jewelry. Guys will need a button down shirt and tie.  Proofs and order form will be mailed home. (We supply cap & gown.)

Senior supplies can now be ordered on line with Kreative Graphics Inc (KGI)

KGI is GRC’s supplier of school invitations and senior memorabilia.  These items were presented to seniors September 17 and orders were placed Wednesday, September 25 during lunch.  A deposit was required at that time and all payments are made to KGI.

***Our cap/gown/stole/tassel is ordered through KGI also.  Ordering information (height/weight) appears on KGI’s order form but payment for these items needs to be made to GRC.

The students can still mail in orders or call in orders at 859-255-3516

~CAP & GOWN payment is past due—there is now a late fee of $10.

Cap and Gown payment is NOT included in the $65 school fee; it is an additional payment that is used solely to purchase the cap/gown/stole/tassel.  The options below apply to all senior students ---regardless of free and reduced lunch status.

All payments are made to GRC and partial payments are accepted.

Every senior has three options for Cap and Gown order/payment:     SHOULD BE ORDERED BY NOW

     Option 1:  Cap/Gown/Stole/Tassel, $50

Option 2:  Stole and Tassel only, $35  (may use a gown & cap from previous graduate)

Option 3:  Stole/Tassel/Cap, $42  (may use gown from a previous graduate)

To pay: see Ms. Greeman, Counseling Center, Mrs. Sosby, 2nd floor main office, or Mrs. Sharrock, rm 308.

Seniors took formal pictures through Lifetouch Photography in the fall. Seniors who wish to submit a replacement formal portrait for publication in the Yearbook must follow these guidelines. The deadline for submitted senior portraits is March 7.

Senior Advisory meets the first and third Wednesday morning of each month.

The senior trip to NYC is March19-23.  Tentative educational activities include the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Wall Street, Ground Zero, a Broadway Play (Wicked or The Lion King), Central Park, Strawberry Fields, Trump Tower, Grand Central Terminal, Good Morning America Show, the Today Show, Top of the Rock, Chinatown, Time Square lodging, and a City Tour. Travel home will follow a dinner/dance cruise on the last night.  We will arrive home mid-morning the next day.  Check with Mrs. Wills to see if any available spots remain.  Cost is $975.00

Senior Trip payment schedule:  Sept 30, $100; October 30, $250; November 29, $250; January 30, $250; Feb 21, $125

******* Interested in chaperoning?  Cost is the same based on four to a room. If you would like fewer in your chaperone room, the price increases.  Check with Mrs. Wills to see if any chaperone spots are available.

Plans are now under way for Project Graduation—the all-night, lock-in celebration following graduation.  The next meeting is February 4, 6:00 pm at GRC.  We need tons of volunteers planning for it in the next few months.  Contact Mrs. Wills if you are interested in helping out.  Steve Crosby is chairing the committee.

Prom will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, 8:00 pm until midnight at GRC.  Prom tickets will be $35 per person. A guest request is required for all NON GRC seniors.  The theme this year is the Great Gatsby.  A professional photographer will be available at prom.

The Board of Education will set the date when the threat of severe weather has passed. Graduation will be held at Cardinal Stadium at the old GRC. Girls wear white graduation robes and guys wear red.  Dress attire under the gowns will need to adhere to the following guidelines:  Girls need to wear a white dress, skirt, or Capri pants and white shoes (NO beach flip flops) hemlines are to be above the gown hemline.  Guys wear a button-down dress shirt, tie, dark dress pants and dress shoes.
