GRC Committees

Two or three parents are needed on each committee.

Each will meet three to four times during the school year.

Assessment

-Organize the KCCT and NCLB data and recommend school priority needs based on that data

Recommend classroom strategies and ideas

 

Budget

-Develop, recommend, and monitor the annual budget and allocation of resources (instructional materials, textbooks, etc.)

 

Culture & Resources

-Review and revise policies on discipline, classroom management/safety, extra-curricular programs and staff time assessment

 

Curriculum

-Review and revise policies on curriculum, college level/AP courses, and writing
-Analyze curriculum alignment with state standards

 

 

 Instructional Practices

-Research homework best practices and recommend changes
-
Research instructional best practice ideas and innovations

 

Parental Involvement

-Work with the PTO to involve parents in activities and incentives for students

 

Planning & Professional Development

-Coordinate school needs assessment
-Develop School ImprovementPlan
-Implement the Professional Development Plan
-Develop master schedule

 

Technology

-Assess the status of the school's tech program and recommend plans for best use of technology based on best use of allotted monies
